Aalst, 13 September 2007 – Tupperware is the world’s leading producer of food storage, preparation and serving products. IIG relocated the old production facility of 15,500 sq. m to a new tailor-made facility of 6,300 sq. m ground surface.
IIG’s engineers designed the complete automation within the plant, connecting the product flows directly to the neighbouring European Distribution Centre, reducing labour intensive manipulation. This includes a conveyer belt of approximately 500 meters from the production facility directly inside the warehouse.
IIG was also in charge of the total move from the old to the new facility up to the installation and start-up of the machines. The fully operational facility opened in September 2007.

Aalst, 25 January 2008 – Immo Industry Group (IIG) today officially inaugurated its new headquarters in Aalst. With 4.000 m² of office space, the facility houses IIG and its associated branches, Immo Industry Logistics and Process Solutions (IILPS), Immo Industry Facility and Property Management (IIFPM) and Immo Industry Contracting (IIC).
The building was selected in order to accommodate IIG’s current staff. Furthermore, it will also provide sufficient space for new staff members IIG intends employing in the near future.
“The new headquarters are part of our growth strategy”, says Filip Schelfhout, IIG CEO. “Our previous offices in Aalst had become too small. We are a fast growing company and we plan to double our workforce at HQ this year alone. In order to meet our growth requirements, we had to move to larger offices. With this new facility, we have sufficient and suitable office space for our staff for the foreseeable future.”
The new headquarters were inaugurated by Belgian Foreign Affairs minister Karel De Gucht in the presence of prominent national and international guests. At the inauguration, Aalst councillor Ann Van de Steen handed a cheque for € 2.500 to the organisation “People help People”, a local ngo that assists the needy in the Aalst region.

IIG opens offices in St. Petersburg and Rostov-on-DonAugust 2008 - IIG and its joint venture partner Rostik Group of Russia announce the establishment of new offices in St. Petersburg and Rostov-on-Don. With this expansion, IIG now has a strategic presence on both the East-West and North-South Russian transport corridors. As Russia’s second largest city, St. Petersburg has quickly become an important hub for the booming automotive industry in Russia, with major OEMs and Tier 1 and 2 suppliers moving into the region. IIG’s industrial park in the Shushary area of the city represents an excellent opportunity for industrial and logistics companies moving to the area. Rostov-on-Don, as one of Russia’s eleven “Millionniki” cities of 1 to 1.5 million inhabitants and a key business centre, offers great opportunities in a rapidly developing market. Rising income levels across the region are fuelling a strong retail sector, and this is driving the evolution of the logistics market, with rising demand for modern facilities to replace obsolete warehouse stock. IIG’s industrial park Rostov-on-Don offers a highly accessible location for tailor-made industrial real estate immediately adjacent to the highway linking the city to Moscow.
