Financial Analyst, IIG Belgium
If you thought that the financial department could be boring and isolated, this is certainly not the case at the head office of IIG! Daily phone calls and documents from all over Europe are centralised at the desks of the financial analysts.
As a financial analyst, I am responsible for the financial follow-up of our projects in the Czech Republic. This includes managing bank accounts, transferring money, making payments and dealing with local accountants in the Czech Republic. One rule applies for all countries: all invoices have to be approved and paid at our headquarter in Aalst.
Together with my Russian, Polish and Belgian colleagues, we work through all of the documents daily. Despite this intense flow of information, we still find some time for a good laugh. The cultural differences between us are enriching, and make every day a new and interesting experience!
Besides the Czech Republic, I make the outgoing invoices for the whole Immo Industry Group. This means that the financial department takes care of all of IIG’s offices abroad, as well as the financial arrangements of the associated branches Immo Industry Logistics and Process Solutions (IILPS), Immo Industry Facility and Property Management (IIFPM) and Immo Industry Contracting (IIC).
Moreover, I am responsible for budgeting and reporting for all of these departments and organisations, which generates interaction with many colleagues and makes me feel part of a big IIG family. I really feel lucky to be able to work with such wonderful people!
