08.15 Reach destination – start up my notebook for incoming emails
08.30 Walk around the site, looking in all places and dark holes to check order, progress and quality. Discussions with the contractors on site
10.00 Check received emails and drink a morning coffee
11.00 Several calls and conversations with designers, contractors’ managers, mainly in relation to the emails I received earlier
11.45 Meetings: technical issues and discussion about contractors’ problems, such as unclear or erroneous drawings, interpretation of scope, progress and so on
14.30 Assist during execution of VSS test (a static load for compaction check)
15.30 Client visit on site – usually it brings new ideas and solutions, which create impacts on scheduling and costs (according to client, this never happens). Today we discuss some samples of carpet and ceramic tiles.
16.20 Check some certificates of conformity, specifications
17.15 Leave the site
