08.10 Just arrived at the office. Checked my emails, scanned the morning press and distributed a full-page IIG article in a Belgian newspaper to all staff.
08.40 Received an email from our PR agency in Ukraine: the country’s most respected business daily has a long list of questions for an interview. I call our General Managers in Kiev and our logistics engineers at headquarters for additional information. The journalist’s deadline is today 4 pm.
10.35 Business development confirms that a new contract was signed this morning. The press release can go to our
14 PR agencies in Europe and the US for translating and adapting to local conditions. It’s a nice release because the client’s US based head office actively cooperated in the drafting.
12.30 Lunch is always fun at IIG: the food is good and we can chat away with visiting colleagues from our 20 local offices throughout Europe, the US and China.
15.20 I check with our German PR agency whether a special article on IIG’s role in logistics in Russia was published according to plan.
17.45 The Ukraine deadline was met and the PR agency is happy with the replies. After having checked progress on our projects with colleagues, I start working on some forthcoming press releases. Time to switch on the out-of-office agent on my email account and to go home.
